For our European headquarters in Hamburg-Allermöhe we are looking for you with immediate effect as Lead Developer PHP (m/f/d).

Your tasks

  • You support the product owner from a technical point of view in the requirements analysis with the specialist departments
  • You make sure that for "more complex" features a concept is developed in the team (!), documented (in Confluence), validated by the other lead developers and shared with all team members and the department head
  • You ensure that the solutions developed by the team follow Spryker architecture and concepts
  • You guide the team to program software using "design patterns" relevant in the Spryker context "SOLID" and "clean". You do this by, among other things, pair programming with team members and regular code reviews. 
  • You ensure that the functionality of the software developed in the team is secured by meaningful (!), automatic tests.
  • Together with the other Lead Developers as well as the team, you constantly check and question our system and software architecture with the goal of continuously improving it.
  • By holding or organizing "TechTalks", you close gaps in the knowledge of the team members and further develop the collective expertise in the team in a demand-oriented manner.
  • Together with the other Lead Developers as well as the Operations Team you maintain our test and deployment mechanism (CI/CD, GitLab Pipelines)

Your profile

  • You have in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in programming with PHP, Symfony, AJAX/REST and Twig as basic backend technologies. 
  • You have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Spryker system and software architecture, the Spryker concepts relevant for our online store are extensively known to you
  • You are also proficient in common documentation tools for creating concepts (e.g. flow, sequence and class diagrams)
  • You have very good communication skills on a linguistic and social level
  • You are always eager to support all team members and share your knowledge with them
  • You live the application of design patterns, SOLID, clean code as well as TDD and know the basics of HTML, SCSS, TypeScript, React and Webpack
  • You are adept at working with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, RDS, SQS, RabbitMQ, Redis, and ElasticSearch 
  • You have already worked in an agile manner according to Scrum, ideally you have also gained initial experience with scaled Scrum
  • You have a high sense of responsibility, strong initiative and good communication skills, as well as a quick grasp and willingness to learn.
